Thank you to everyone who came to our semi annual $5 Bag Sale last Saturday. Though the forecast had called for rain, we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day and lots of customers.
In addition to raising funds for MCC on Saturday, we had the added pleasure of benefitting our local community, as well as those around the world. A pastor spent several hours choosing clothing to send to folks in Africa. Another man found a book that he had been trying to track down for quite some time, and was thrilled to pay only a quarter for it. We invited a man with a hot dog cart to set up on our parking lot. Though his English was not very clear, it was clear that he sold a lot of hot dogs and was very thankful for the invitation. Hannah's Homestead had a wonderful afternoon feeding our customers, raising funds, and letting people know about their mission.
It is so rewarding to know that we are blessing others through sales, opportunities and partnerships.
I would be remiss if I didn't give a shoutout to the MANY volunteers who helped on Saturday. The $5 Bag sale is very labor intensive (exhausting...) event, and so many people pitched in to pull it together. Thank you all so much!!!
