Helping Hannah's Homestead

One of our volunteers, Kathy Horst, is the Executive Director of Hannah's Homestead - a residential recovery home for women and children, located just outside of Hagerstown. It is an outreach of Celebration Ministries, a non profit ministry. World Treasures, as part of our mission to support our local community, is partnering with Hannah's Homestead. We have a display in our store where we will sell items crafted by the women at Hannah's Homestead, as well as other items to support them financially.

There are several ways that you can help.

  1. Choose a pre-selected item from the display to purchase for Hannah's Homestead, or buy a WT Gift card of any amount and DONATE it back to Hannah's Homestead. Items that you can purchase are things that are needed in the home, ranging from sheets to furniture.

2. Purchase one of the beautiful handmade items crafted by the women at Hannah's Homestead. Currently, we have beautiful potholders, made in the log cabin quilt style. They are lovely and only $5!

3. There are several other items for sale, in a wide price range including everything from a lovely, heart shaped Longaberger basket with a ceramic dish, to a single candy bar. There are also select Doterra Oils available.

No matter the size of your budget, there is something in your price range.

Stop by and talk to Kathy Horst to learn more about Hannah's Homestead. She volunteers at World Treasures on Thursday mornings. Stop by any day and see our display, located right inside the front door. Our customers have the most generous hearts, and we really appreciate your support.
